I created the seminar program at the request of many individuals who
had purchased my plans and desired to have a little "in shop" time
to see exactly how I do things.
I do not schedule classes where 10 people crowd around a limited
number of machines; I take students one at a time. I do have room
for up to three individuals if you have friends or relatives who
would like to join you. I offer a discount for multiple
students: Two students may attend for $800 each or three may attend
for $600 each. If you have any questions just drop me a note.
This is a five day program, from nine in the morning to four thirty
in the afternoon with an hour break for lunch. We will work on whatever
rocking chair I am making at the time. You will learn the techniques
I use to make a chair and why I use them. I am always open to new
ways of doing things and have learned much from having folks from
all over the world come visit me in my shop. So - If
you think you might know a better way, let me know. I am living
proof that you can teach an old dog new tricks!
Bring your favorite hand plane and I will put you to work planing
billets to perfection prior to glue up. This will include the
headrest billets, arm billets, leg billets and of course the seat
billets.
There is a wonderful place about three miles away called
"Affordable Suites"
They are off the beaten track so there is no traffic noise, no
noisey bands or elevators. It is a quiet little condominium complex!
Each unit has a full kitchen, bedroom, living room and there are
laundry facilities on the premises. The rate is, as they say,
Affordable.
Here are some Seminar students from the past.

When a student makes rocking chairs from my plans, seminar, byob or
"make your own rocker" program I support them in any way I can. If
you build a web site, I will put a link from my site to yours so
potential customers can find you.
Come on out for a visit!
